I am a Research Associate working on the EU-funded eTALK project at the Centre for Robotics and AI at the University of Manchester. Currently, I am working on Open-vocabulary Object Detection (OVOD) and Language-guided Long-horizon Robot Manipulation that can incorporate hierarchical knowledge and taxonomy. Prior to this, I was a Marie Skłodowska-Curie PhD Fellow at the same lab, where my doctoral research focused on deep and continual learning for emotion recognition. Before joining the University of Manchester, I graduated with a Master of Science in Electrical and Computer Engineering from Sungkyunkwan University, South Korea, at the Computer Vision Lab, where I worked on Generative Adversarial Networks. I am broadly interested in different forms of artificial intelligence that carry out assigned tasks robustly and reliably. In an unsorted manner, I am interested in various aspects of: – Vision-Language Models – Multimodal Learning – Language-guided Long-horizon Robot Manipulation. – Continual Learning – Affective Computing
